Roi Et National Museum is located on Ploen Chit Road, Nai Muang Sub-District, Muang District, Roi Et Province. It was established in National Museum of the City Establishment Project. It exhibits all knowledge of Roi Et.

Roi Et National Museum was established due to the idea of Prof. Dr. Kor Sawatpanit. Its original purpose is to be the museum of northeastern handicraft, especially silk and local cloth. Later, when Department of Fine Arts launched the policy of National Museum of the City Establishment, more information was added into the museum, covering all aspects of knowledge related to the province including geography, underground resources, archaeology, history, important persons, lifestyles, traditions, and handicraft.

The construction of Roi Et National Museum was started in the fiscal year 1992 and was completed in 1997. The budget covered exhibition, landscape adjustment, electric and air condition system, conference room, special exhibition, and staff accommodation.

Information technology is a new technique applied to the exhibition. Models and scenes are made to tell the story. This is therefore one of the most modern museum under Department of Fine Arts.

Visitors can visit the museum from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday – Sunday. The museum is closed on Monday, Tuesday, and public holidays. Entrance fees are 10 baht for Thai adults and 30 baht for foreign adults. Students wearing uniform, monks, and priests in any religion are free.
