Suan Hin Pha Ngam, also known as Kunming of Loei, is located in Ban Pha Ngam, Moo 10, Puan Phu Subdistrict, Nong Hin District, Loei, about 18 kilometres from Nong Hin Town. It is a set of massive natural rock formations aged over 225 million years, standing prominently above an evergreen meadow. It is assumed that this area was once the sea and the rocks used to be underwater. The rocks appear in various sizes and shapes; thus called by different names in accordance with their appearance, e.g. Hin Dinosaur, Na Pha Tho Thae, Sum Kharawa, Tham Orathai, Khao Wongkot, Chedi Hin, Krop Rup Thammachat, Kamphaeng Mueang Chin, Pratu Khong, Hin Mongkut, Suan Hin, Sum Narok and Ru Ran Tu. Furthermore, some rocks have naturally formed tunnels, for example, the Lan Phloen Chet Si Tunnel, with adventurous complex paths which are like thrilling mazes for visitors.  Some parts require thrill-seekers to climb rocks whereas in some parts you have to go through small tunnels. In addition, varieties of plants grow around the rock formations. Some are also rare and ancient plants such as the Assam Cycas tree, aged over hundreds of years.

Here there are a tourist information centre, a car park, toilets, a souvenir shop and restaurants. A tour guide is also provided by the centre, which costs 100 baht per group of visitors. Moreover, there is a viewpoint where you can take pictures with the tops of the rock formations. Additionally, located nearby are a fern forest with a relaxing and good atmosphere and the rocks of Hin Ta and Hin Yai.
