Princess MahaChakriSirindhorn Anthropology Centre is located on Baromradchonnee Road, Talingchan, Bangkok. This centre was built by the Silapakorn University in 1989 to celebrate the 36th anniversary of Princess MahaChakriSirindhorn. This centre was aimed to be the information centre of Anthropology and other science such as sociology, archaeology, art history, language and literature especially for experts, students and those who are interested in sociology.

In 1998 was the first year that the centre operated all the academic activities completely because of the readiness of the building, experts and other facilities. Some example activities initiated by this centre are such as data library, permanent exhibition,data management, information provider through mixed media and academic media provider and audio visual media. On 9th March 2001, this centre was officially opened by Princess MahaChakriSirindhorn.

Then, on 15th November 2002, the centre was turned to a public organization under the university. Until 2005, there was a ministry, bureau and department renovation so the centre was transferred under the Ministry of Culture as of today.

Nowadays, there is a permanent exhibition at Princess MahaChakriSirindhorn Anthropology Centre which are the Princess MahaChakriSirindhorn’s biography room, Thailand pottery room, the Ethnography room, Social and cultural development room. 

The centre is opened on Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the library is opened on Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office is opened on Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission.
