With large granite rocks scattered along its white sands, Khae Khae Beach is one of the most beautiful and distinctive beaches in Pattani province. Khae Khae is a word in the local dialect of Malay that means loud noise. On the hill behind the beach, there is a pavilion and a lovely view along the unspoiled coast of Amphoe Panare.
Hat Khae Khae is in Panare district, about 43 kilometers from Pattani town. To get there, turn onto Highway 42 just outside of Pattani town and drive east for about 20 kilometers until just past the village of Yamu. Turn left onto the road to Panare for another 14 kilometers. At the crossroads in Panare turn left onto Highway 4157 and drive past Hat Chalalai for the last 7 kilometers to the beach.
