KhaoNoi is situated near Samila Beach. There is an asphalt road to the peak of the mountain to see the scenery of Songkhla Town. The east side of the mountain has a public park, a restaurant, and a tennis court for exercise lovers. The foothill on the northeastern side is a garden called “Suan Seri” with animal-shaped decorative trees. There is a monument of Prince YugalaDighambara on the peak of this mountain.
Prince YugalaDighambara is a son of King Chulalongkorn. He was born on 17 March 1882 and passed away on 8 April 1932 at the age of 50. King Chulalongkorn promoted him as a lieutenant governor of Nakhon Sri Thammarat Region of which Songkhla is the center. He governed 3 regions including SuratThani, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, and Pattani.
Throughout 15 year, he is the beloved governor of local people and has committed many activities that are beneficial for people in Songkhla and Soutern region. On 8 April of every year which is the anniversary of his death, Songkhla Provincial Administration holds a wreath ceremony for him.
